Street art London | Shoreditch, happening neighborhood
Before we went to London we asked on Twitter and Facebook for tips. About what to do, where to eat and what to see in the metropolis; places you can not miss before leaving. A lot of people were mentioning Shoreditch which was supposed to be the hip area in London. We decided to book a room in the neighborhood to be able to see lots of Shoreditch, which is known for its street art, which we love! Thanks everyone for your info, as everywhere were we looked we saw amazing paintings on the buildings and walls. From really small to really, really big amazing cartoons, portraits, abstract art and many more varieties were depicted. Because we made tons of pictures, it is too much to show in an article. At least we decided to give Shoreditch’s street art his own article so you can get a good impression of the pieces of art that is abundant in the area. In this article we made a selection of the street art photo’s we made. Keep you eye out on Pinterest where all pictures will be uploaded eventually. Enjoy!
The Brick Lane area
Probably the most well known street in Shoreditch is Brick Lane. In this street it is where you can find nice pubs, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, vintage clothing and other cute businesses. When visiting London you should pay this area a visit, even if you hate street art;) Shoreditch has its own Overground station, bus is also easily reachable on foot from Liverpool Street Station. You’ll know when you’re approaching Brick Lane as the street arts increases. One famous street artist is the Belgian ROA (ROA’s Facebook), who is known for its large black and white animals. We caught two of his paintings on photo. Check out more of ROA’s street art. The top two pics are ROA’s.
We’re also very curious about your favorite street art paradises!
