We fell in love with Nepal.. Or actually, Kathmandu, as we only stayed in the Kathmandu Valley. I remember the first time we walked into the streets after dropping our bags at the guest house: I had the feeling of Christmas for some reason. And even though it was indeed one day after Christmas, in Nepal you won’t find even a single Christmas ball, let alone a tree. I don’t want to sound too melodramatic, but it really seemed like a fairy tale, or a movie. Very surreal, compared to ten hours prior when we stood aside the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. It’s like being teleported to another planet. Nepali’s are wonderful people. Kind, helpfull, warm people. We really felt at ease in the capital. I wonder if that would stay the same if they had the ‘wealth’ we have. We took a bunch photos of its residents, from which a lot are shown below. This post is dedicated to them, the people of Nepal.
